Beach Walk 57 - Daily Practice Works for Me

I’ve been thinking about the process of making a daily video, and despite the work involved, I love how it is freeing me from much of my perfectionism.h3. About Today’s ShowI used to not try things if I didn’t have enough time or skill to do them really well. It was the curse of that saying, “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” Now, we’re proving to each other via the wild popularity of podcasting and video blogging that, “Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly!” I have realized that people can enjoy my show regardless of the flaws I might see. And I am enjoying my show, so much, precisely because I don’t have to be perfect. I just get to be me.None of that precludes the fact that I have a ton of ideas (and so does secret cameraman) and those will be fun to play with too at some point we think. But for now, this “practice” is working dakine for me.Tip: If you leave a message on the conch, please speak up so we can hear you! It’s noisy out there by the wind and waves. :-)Hawaiian wordsDakine: the bestHoÊ»omaÊ»amaÊ»a: practiceBe in Touch!
